Alongside and integrated with his career as a performer and composer, Eddie has an impressive presence as a creative music educator. He has taught at all levels from infant and primary to university and the conservatoire.

For eight years he taught on the BA Jazz programme at Middlesex University. In collaboration with his partner Elaine Furness he ran IMPRO Integrated Music Projects, and subsequently Groove On, building large-scale inclusive community projects in London.

Eddie continues to teach at primary level in Gloucestershire; he fosters musical excellence at South West Music School and Aldeburgh Young Musicians; and currently contributes to the BA Music programme at Newcastle University.
